Consumable Allocation Properties dialog - Cost/Income tab
You use the Cost/Income tab of the Consumable Allocation Properties dialog to maintain details of the cost and income of the selected consumable resource allocation. When you assign a resource to a task, the cost of the resource is calculated from its defaults. Consumable resources can be associated with costs, income, or both.

To access the Consumable Allocation Properties dialog, right-click a consumable resource allocation and select Properties.

Field | Description |
---|---|
Total cost | The cost per unit multiplied by the number of units assigned to the task, plus any cost per use. For example, if a task uses 100 units with each unit costing £1 and there is a delivery charge of £20, the total cost of the consumable resource allocation is £120. |
Total income | The income per unit multiplied by the number of units assigned to the task, plus any income per use. |
Cost per use |
Enter any cost that is incurred when the resource is assigned to the task. For example, there may be a delivery charge which is the same whether you are delivering 100 or 1000 units.
If you want to represent a negative cost, you can enter a negative value in this field.

Income per use |
Enter any income that is generated when the resource is assigned to the task.

Cost per unit |
Enter the cost that is incurred by each unit of the consumable resource in this allocation.
If you want to represent a negative cost, you can enter a negative value in this field. |
Income per unit |
Enter the income that is generated by each unit of the consumable resource in this allocation.
If you want to represent a negative income, you can enter a negative value in this field. |
Income as % of cost | If Income per unit is calculated as a percentage of Cost per unit, enter the percentage by which the cost should be multiplied to calculate the income. For example, if the Income per unit is twice the Cost per unit, enter 200.00. This field is ignored if you enter a specific amount in the Income per unit field. |
Expenditure cost centre | Select the cost centre from which the allocation's costs are deducted. Click Properties to view and edit the details of the cost centre. |
Income cost centre | Select the cost centre in which the allocation's income is stored. Click Properties to view and edit the details of the cost centre. |
Budgeted cost |
A field primarily intended for use in projects that have been imported from, or that are intended to be exported to, Primavera® software.
In Primavera software, the Budgeted cost field can be used to record the budget cost of items without the need to use a baseline. When you import a project from Primavera software, resource and cost allocation information from this field in Primavera software is imported into this field in

How do I...

- Enter the cost and/or income per use in the Per use group.
- Enter the cost and/or income per unit in the Per unit group.
- If income per unit is calculated as a percentage of the cost per unit, enter the percentage by which the cost should be multiplied to calculate the income in the Income as % of cost field.

Select the appropriate expenditure and income cost centres in the Cost centre group.

Enter an amount in the Budgeted cost field.
