You use the Import/Export tab of the Backstage view to import projects into

To access the Backstage view, click the File tab.

Import from Primavera® |
Click this button to import a project that has been saved in XER or XML format in Primavera P6, or to import a project that has been saved in DIR or STX format in Primavera SureTrak®, into

Export to Primavera® |
Click this button to export the current project into a format in which it can be opened in Primavera P6®.

Import from Microsoft Project® |
Click this button to import a project that has been saved in MPP or XML format in Microsoft® Project, into

Export to Microsoft Project® |
Click this button to export the current project into a format in which it can be opened in Microsoft Project.

Export to CSV |
Click this button to export the spreadsheet information from the current view into Comma Separated Variable (CSV) format, which can be used by applications such as spreadsheets.

Export to HTML |
Click this button to export the current project to HTML. When you export a project to HTML, the spreadsheet information is converted to an HTML table and you can choose whether or not to convert the bar chart to a graphic for inclusion in the HTML file.

How do I...

- Click Import from Primavera. The Primavera XML & XER Import Options dialog appears.
- Use the fields on the dialog to select the project that you want to import and to specify a number of key import options.
- Click OK.

- Click Export to Primavera. The Primavera XML & XER Export Options dialog appears.
- Use the fields on the dialog to specify the format into which you want to export the current project and to specify a number of key export options.
- Click OK.

- Click Import from Microsoft Project. The Microsoft Project Import Options dialog appears.
- Use the fields on the dialog to select the project that you want to import and to specify a number of key import options.
- Click OK.

- Click Export to Microsoft Project. The Export dialog appears.
- Use the dialog to specify a file name and location for the export file.
- Click Save. The Microsoft Project Export Wizard appears.
- Use the wizard to specify a number of key export options.
- Click Finish.

- Click Export to CSV. The Export dialog appears.
- Use the dialog to specify a file name and location for the export file.
- Click Save.

- Click Export to HTML. The Export to HTML dialog appears.
- Use the dialog to specify a file name and location for the export file and to specify a number of key export options.
- Click OK.
