Business Intelligence Export to Spreadsheet dialog
You use the Business Intelligence Export to Spreadsheet dialog to export Business Intelligence data from Asta Powerproject projects to a Microsoft Excel® workbook, from where you can manipulate it by writing reports. In order to access this dialog, you must have Microsoft Excel installed on your computer.

To access the Business Intelligence Export to Spreadsheet dialog, you use the Export BI command.
The Export BI command is not included on the Ribbon by default, so if you want to export Business Intelligence data to Excel, you must customise the Ribbon and add this command to it.
This dialog is not available in Asta Powerproject SaaS.

Field | Description |
---|---|
Model for export |
Select the Business Intelligence export model to apply to the data during the export. You can choose from any of the *.compiled files that are located in either of the following folders:
The following Business Intelligence export models are supplied as standard:
|
Destination file | The name of the Microsoft Excel workbook into which the data is to be exported. |
Browse | Click this button to browse for the Microsoft Excel workbook into which to export the data. You can select an existing file, or enter the name of a new file. |
Omit zero value time slice outputs |
Select this check box to exclude time-phased data values that are zero from the output - resulting in a much smaller database table - or clear the check box to include time-phased data values that are zero in the output.
Excluding values that are zero results in a much smaller database table - time slice tables are the biggest contributor to data volume - which leads to cost and performance benefits.
If data volume is not an issue for you, you may want to include zero values, as this will make graphing simpler in situations in which you want to show non-working days explicitly. |
