Picture Annotation Properties dialog - Scaling tab
You use the Scaling tab of the Picture Annotation Properties dialog to specify the way in which the selected picture annotation is scaled when output to a printer or other output device.

To access the Picture Annotation Properties dialog, right-click a picture annotation and select Properties.

Field | Description |
---|---|
Scale horizontally with chart | Select this check box to allow the annotation to be increased or reduced in size horizontally in proportion to the bar chart when printed, or clear the check box to prevent horizontal scaling. |
Scale vertically with chart | Select this check box to allow the annotation to be increased or reduced in size vertically in proportion to the bar chart when printed, or clear the check box to prevent vertical scaling. |
Do not expand bounds | Select this check box to prevent the annotation from being scaled to a size larger than that at which it is displayed on the screen when printed, or clear the check box to allow the annotation to be scaled to a larger size. |
Anchor point |
Select the point from which scaling should occur. For example, if you select the top-left corner, the top-left corner remains in its current position and the annotation is scaled (increased or reduced in size) around this point. |
How do I...

Use the fields on the dialog to make your selections.
If you choose to scale the annotation either horizontally or vertically, the annotation is scaled in the other dimension by the minimum amount required to preserve its aspect ratio. If you choose not to expand its bounds, the annotation is only scaled in the selected dimension if doing so will not increase its size in the other dimension.
If you choose to scale the annotation horizontally and vertically, its aspect ratio is not preserved. If you do not scale horizontally or vertically, the annotation prints at its full, unscaled size, unless doing so will hinder the layout of the output.
