Scaling annotations for output
You can specify the way in which annotations are scaled when the bar chart is output to a printer or another output device.
To specify the scaling options for an annotation:
- Select the annotation then click
on the Quick Access toolbar. The Annotation Properties dialog appears.
- Click the Scaling tab.
- From the Output scaling behaviour group, select:
- Scale horizontally with chart to allow the annotation to be scaled horizontally in proportion to the bar chart. Clear this check box to prevent horizontal scaling.
- Scale vertically with chart to allow the annotation to be scaled vertically in proportion to the bar chart. Clear this check box to prevent vertical scaling.
- Do not expand bounds to prevent the annotation from being scaled larger than it is as displayed on screen.
- From the Anchor point group, select the point of the annotation that you want to remain unchanged by scaling. The annotation will be scaled around this point.
If you choose to scale either horizontally or vertically, the annotation will be scaled in the other dimension by the minimum amount to preserve its aspect ratio. If you choose to scale both vertically and horizontally, the annotation's aspect ratio is not preserved. If you choose to scale horizontally or vertically and choose not to expand bounds, then the annotation is only scaled in the chosen dimension if it will not increase the size in the other dimension. If you choose to scale both horizontally and vertically, and choose not to expand bounds, then the annotation is scaled in both directions, but a text annotation does not have its word wrapping adjusted.
