Creating Asta Vision projects
As well as being able to create new Asta Vision projects within the Asta Vision web app, you can create new Asta Vision projects from within Asta Powerproject.
To create a new Asta Vision project from within Asta Powerproject:
- Click the File tab, then click New.
- If the New Local Project control is currently selected, click New Vision Project.
- If you are not currently signed into Asta Vision, you are asked to sign in. When you have done so, the Create Project From Template page appears.
- Enter details of the new project into the fields on this page.

- A prompt appears, asking what you want to do next:
- Click Check Out to check out the new project's initial programme, download it to your computer and open it in Asta Powerproject.
- Click Display List to display the list of Asta Vision programmes on the Open tab of the Backstage view, where the new project's initial programme will be added to the list. From here, you can download the programme, check out the programme, or start a collaboration session on the programme.
- Click No to do neither of the above.
