Indenting and outdenting bars

If you select several bars that are dispersed throughout the bar chart, they are grouped together after being indented. If there are several parent tasks within the bar chart and you select bars dispersed throughout the chart, when you indent the bars, each bar is indented into the parent task that immediately precedes it, so the bars might not all be indented into the same parent task.
You can also add a blank bar to the end of a summary group by selecting the summary task, then on the Home tab, in the Insert group, clicking the Bar dropdown and selecting Bar at end of Summary.
