Non-modelled consumable resources

Use this modelling type if you want the resource to be consumed or supplied for the full duration of the task to which it is allocated. Select Non Modelled in the Modelling type field and enter the number of resources that you want to allocate by default in the Quantity field. If you adjust the duration of a task to which the resource is allocated, the resource allocation is adjusted so that it continues to be consumed or supplied for the full duration of the task.

For example, if you assign 200 metres of network cable to be consumed by a task that is 4 days long, the resource is consumed evenly over the 4 days at a rate of 50 metres per day. If you increase the duration of the task to 8 days, the 200 metres of cable is consumed evenly over the 8 days at a rate of 25 metres per day (if the calendar permits).
