Formatting the columns, heading and cells of the resource usage view
You can format the columns, heading and cells of the resource usage view, to configure the format in which figures are displayed. For example, you can choose to display durations in hours, days, or any other time unit and you can specify the format in which dates are displayed.
To configure the way in which a column in the middle section of the resource usage view is displayed, either:
- Right-click a column in the middle section of the resource usage view and select Format Column.
- On the Fields tab of the Resource Usage Properties dialog, click Format to the right of a column.
To configure the way in which the heading and cells of the right section of the resource usage view are displayed, either:
- Right-click the right section of the resource usage view and select Format Grid and Header.
- On the Appearance tab of the Resource Usage Properties dialog, click Format Grid.
Use the dialog that appears to configure the resource usage view.
You must ensure that you format the appropriate category of information within the dialog. For example, to format a column that displays a percentage value, you must select the Percentage category in the dialog: even though a percentage may look like a number, percentage values will not be affected if you format the Number category. Similarly, to format a column that displays an effort value, you must select the Duration/Effort category rather than the Number category.
