Viewing WBS codes in the spreadsheet
You can view WBS codes - and WBS names - in the spreadsheet. Displaying WBS codes in the spreadsheet provides you with an extra way of assigning WBS codes to tasks: you can click the ... button in the WBS code cell to display the Select WBS Code dialog, which you use to assign WBS codes to tasks.
To view WBS codes in the spreadsheet:
- Right-click a column heading, then select Table Definition. The Table Definition Properties dialog appears.
- The columns in the current spreadsheet are listed in the Field field. There are two rows of information for each column because a column can display both a bar or task attribute and an allocation attribute.
- Click Add. A new spreadsheet column is added.
- Locate the new spreadsheet column, then click its first row.
- Click the + symbol alongside Identification, then select WBS code. Alternatively, you can select WBS name if you would like to display this in the spreadsheet.
- Use the Up and Down buttons to rearrange the columns in the spreadsheet as required.
- Click Close.
In addition to displaying WBS codes in the spreadsheet, you can display them in annotations and display and edit them on the Task tab of the Bar and Task Properties dialog and the properties view.
