Materials

Materials are typically the materials and components required to complete tasks. For example, a task to refurbish an office might require paint, carpet, partitions and power sockets.

Materials differ from consumable resources - which can also be used to represent the materials and components required to complete tasks - in that you do not assign materials to tasks; you use materials to identify the type of task work that is carried out when modelling tasks in terms of task work without using resources.

You can edit the name of a material using the Material Properties dialog. To access help for the Material Properties dialog, press F1 while viewing the dialog.
