Sharing border files with other users

With the release of Asta Powerproject and Powerdraw version 14.0.03, the file format of Powerdraw borders changed. You cannot open a border file that has been created or edited in Powerdraw version 14.0.03 or later in previous versions of Powerdraw, and you cannot print using version 14.0.03 or later border files in previous versions of Asta Powerproject.

If you share projects and border files with people who use an older version of Asta Powerproject - for example, version 14.0.02 - and you open and edit a version 14.0.02 border file in Powerdraw version 14.0.03 or later, you should save any changes to the border file using a new file name to ensure that you do not overwrite the original border file. Note that if you open an older version border file in Powerdraw version 14.0.03 or later, its format is only changed if you save changes to the border - borders are not converted automatically as soon as you open them in Powerdraw.

If you embed a border file in Asta Powerproject version 14.0.03 or later then save the project to a previous format, the border file remains embedded in the project file. However, if the embedded border file is in the version 14.0.03 or later format, the earlier version of Asta Powerproject will not be able to use it when the project is opened - although the project itself is converted back to the previous format, the border file is not.

Note that Asta Powerproject version 14.0.03 or later can use earlier versions of border files without the need for you to 'convert' them to version 14.0.03 or later format.
