Rotating polygons

You can rotate polygons to change the way they appear in a border.

You cannot rotate polygons if they are grouped together with other items; to rotate a grouped polygon, you must ungroup it first.

To rotate a polygon:

  1. Select the polygon you want to rotate so that you can see its handles.
  2. Click on one of the handles. Note that the handles now appear as double-headed arrows.
  3. Position the cursor over one of the handles so it appears as a cursor next to a circle of arrows, then drag the handle clockwise or anticlockwise. A line appears from the centre of the polygon to the cursor, indicating the angle by which you are rotating the polygon. An outline of the polygon also follows the cursor, indicating the angle at which the shape will be redrawn when you release the mouse button.
  4. Release the mouse button to draw the polygon at its new angle.
