Resizing items

Once you have placed an item on a border, for example a shape, text box or picture, you can resize it. Resizing an item can change its shape: for example, you can resize a square to make it into a rectangle.

To resize an item:

  1. Select the item you want to resize so that you can see its handles. If you select a line, two handles appear: one at each end of the line.
  2. Click the left mouse button and drag the handles to resize the item as follows:
    • Drag a corner handle to resize the item horizontally and vertically at the same time.
    • Drag the centre left or centre right handle to resize the item horizontally.
    • Drag the centre top or centre bottom handle to resize the item vertically. An outline of the item follows the cursor, showing how the item will be resized.
  3. Release the mouse button when the outline shows the item in the required size.
