Placing items into categories
Once you have created the categories with which you want to layer information within a border, you can place the items that make up the border into the appropriate categories.
You can place items into categories in two ways:
To place an item into a category using the menus
- Select the item you want to place into a category.
- Select the Set Category command from the Draw menu, then select the category into which you want to place the item.
The item is placed into the selected category.
To place an item into a category using the Details dialog
- Select the item you want to place into a category.
- Select the Details command from the Edit menu, or click
. You see the Details dialog. - Select the category into which you want to place the selected item in the Categories field.
- Click OK to confirm your changes and close the Details dialog.
The item is placed into the selected category.
If you place an item into a category whose items are not currently displayed, the selected item disappears as soon as you deselect it. It reappears when you view the category into which you have placed it.
To remove an item from a specific category, place it into the Default category, which you should display at all times.
