Maintaining the properties of a data source

You use the Datasource Properties dialog to edit the properties of the data sources you have created.

To access the Datasource Properties dialog, select a data source, then select the Properties command from the Datasource menu.

The dialog is divided into the following tabs:

  • File. The information in the fields on the File tab are set up automatically when you create a new data source. You do not normally need to change these details.
  • Login. The information in the fields on the Login tab are set up automatically when you create a new data source. You do not normally need to change these details.
  • Auditing. You use the Auditing tab to switch audit logging on or off for the selected data source and to view the audit logs for projects contained in the data source.
  • Users. You use the Users tab to specify the users that have access to the selected data source.

To maintain the properties of a data source:

  1. Enter information in the appropriate fields as required.
  2. Click OK to confirm your changes and close the Datasource Properties dialog.
