Configuring likelihood and distribution report options
You use Options dialog to configure the likelihood and distribution report that is displayed on the current tab of the Likelihood and Distribution Reports dialog. The settings that you enter on this dialog apply to the current tab only, which means that you can configure a different set of options for each of the likelihood and distribution reports: one set for the Finish Date report, one for the Cost report, one for the Income report and one for the Margin report.

To access the Options dialog, click Options on the Likelihood and Distribution Reports dialog.

Field | Description |
---|---|
Graph type | Specify whether to display the likelihood graph (represented by a line), the distribution graph (represented by bars) or both likelihood and distribution graphs in the report. |
Bar range | Specify the value that the width of each bar represents. In the case of the Finish Date Likelihood and Distribution report, this is time-based; for the other reports, it is cost or income-based. |
Bar colour | Select the colour with which to display distribution bars in the report. |
Line colour | Select the colour with which to display the likelihood line in the report. |
Display average lines |
Select this check box to display vertical lines in the report that indicate the mean and the standard deviation - which indicates how much variation or dispersion there is from the mean value - or clear the check box to omit these lines from the report.
If you choose to display these lines, select the colour with which to display them in the field to the right. |
Highlight current value |
Select this check box to indicate in the report the current value in the live data, or clear the check box to omit this indication. For example, if you choose to highlight the current value in the Finish Date Likelihood and Distribution report, the finish date of the project in the live data is highlighted.
If you choose to highlight the current value, select the colour with which to highlight it in the field to the right. |
