Introduction to the Elecosoft BIMCloud

The Elecosoft BIMCloud® is an Internet-based portal for the storage, management and retrieval of IFC files - ie 3D models that have been saved in IFC format. Powerproject BIM is able to work with IFC files that are stored locally, or in the Elecosoft BIMCloud. If you are using IFC files that are stored in the Elecosoft BIMCloud, you must log into the Elecosoft BIMCloud to gain access to them. You can then associate the IFC files with your Powerproject BIM projects, and build project schedules using the data from within the IFC models.

When using Powerproject BIM in conjunction with the Elecosoft BIMCloud, you require a connection to the Internet, as the IFC files remain located in the Elecosoft BIMCloud at all times.

In order to use Powerproject BIM in conjunction with the Elecosoft BIMCloud, you must be set up as a user in the Elecosoft BIMCloud. You can log into the Elecosoft BIMCloud using a Yahoo!®, Google® or Windows Live™ account.
