Editing bar and task properties

You use the Bar and Task Properties dialog and the properties view to view and edit the properties of the selected task and bar.

You can use the Bar tab of this dialog, or of the properties view, to specify that the tasks on a bar can overlap. You may want to do this in order to plan a unit network in which tasks can overlap on a single bar, rather than planning it over a number of bars, to save space.

You can use the Allocations tab of the dialog, or of the properties view, to specify the amount of work or effort that is required to complete the selected task. These figures are used when you model consumable resources using the Quantity From Task modelling method and when you model permanent resources using the Work From Task or Effort Activity Budget modelling methods.
