Tabular Report Wizard

You use the Tabular Report Wizard to create new tabular reports, which output project information in a tabular format similar to the spreadsheet. You can present your tabular reports in a wide variety of formats, printing them out or outputting the reports to file.

You use this page of the Tabular Report Wizard to specify a variety of options relating to the way in which tasks are displayed in the report.

To access the Tabular Report Wizard, on the Project tab, in the Data group, click the Reports dropdown and select New Tabular Report.

Field Description
One task per line Select this check box to display information about each task on a separate line, or clear the check box to display information about multiple tasks on the same bar on the same line of the report.
Show summary/expanded tasks Select this check box to include information relating to summary and expanded tasks in the report, or clear the check box to exclude this information.
Include hammock contents

Select this check box to include the contents of hammocks, or clear the check box to exclude this information.

 

You may want to exclude the contents of hammocks, as every item within a hammock appears elsewhere in the project, so by including hammock contents, some items may appear in a report more than once.

How do I...

  1. Select the One task per line check box to display information about each task on a separate line, or clear the check box to display information about multiple tasks on the same bar on the same line of the report.
  2. Select the Show summary/expanded tasks check box to include this information, or clear the check box to exclude the information.
  3. Select the Include hammock contentscheck box to include the contents of hammocks, or clear the check box to exclude this information.
  4. Click Next to access the following page.
