Tabular Report Properties dialog - Output tab
You use the Output tab of the Tabular Report Properties dialog to specify the format, or formats, in which you want to produce a tabular report. You can output tabular reports to a printer or directly to a variety of file formats. You can also output tabular reports to the Windows® Clipboard (in CSV format), from where you can paste them into another application.

To access the Tabular Report Properties dialog, right-click a tabular report in Library Explorer and select Properties.

Field/Button | Description |

Printer | Select this check box to send the report directly to a printer. |
HTML file | Select this check box to output the report to an HTML file of the path and name you specify in the HTML output file field. HTML reports are produced using the XSL stylesheet you specify on the HTML Style tab of the dialog. |
Clipboard | Select this check box to output the report to the Windows Clipboard in CSV format, from where you can subsequently paste it into another application. |
XSL transform | Select this check box to output the report to an XSL file of the path and name you specify in the XSL output file field, using an XSL stylesheet you specify in the XSL stylesheet field. |
CSV file | Select this check box to output the report to a CSV file of the path and name you specify in the CSV output file field. |
XML file | Select this check box to output the report to an XML file of the path and name you specify in the XML output file field. |
Excel | Select this check box to open the report in Microsoft Excel® in a new XLS file, or if you specify a path and name in the Excel output field, to output the report to a specific XLS file without opening it. |
Ruling line between details |
Select this check box if you want to print grid lines in the report, or clear the check box to print the report without grid lines.
If you choose to include grid lines, select the style of grid line you want to print in the field to the right. |
Border around details | Select this check box if you want to display a border around the cells in the report, or clear the check box to print the report without cell borders. |
Word wrap output | Select this check box if you want to wrap lines of the report onto the next line if the report is too wide for the paper, or clear the check box to truncate the report if it is too wide. You may find it useful to print wide reports on paper in landscape format. |

Print profile | Select the print profile with which to print the report. |
HTML output file |
If you are producing the report in HTML file format, specify the path and file name of the HTML file that will be produced by the report.
Click Browse to browse for the path and file name of the HTML file that will be produced by the report. |
XSL stylesheet |
If you are producing the report in XSL file format, specify the path and file name of the XSL stylesheet that will be used to produce the report.
Click Browse to browse for the path and file name of the XSL stylesheet that will be used to produce the report. |
XSL output file |
If you are producing the report in XSL file format, specify the path and file name of the XSL file that will be produced by the report.
Click Browse to browse for the path and file name of the XSL file that will be produced by the report. |
Excel output |
If you are producing the report in Microsoft Excel file format, specify the path and file name of the XLS file. You can select an existing file if required.
If you specify an existing XLS file, all existing data in the specified worksheet is deleted, and the tabular report is pasted into this worksheet. Any formatting in the existing file is retained. If you specify an existing XLS file, you must ensure that the file is not open when you execute the tabular report, or the output will fail.

Template file |
If you are producing the report in Microsoft Excel file format, specify a Microsoft Excel template file to use when creating the XLS file if required.
Click Browse to browse for the path and file name of the template file. |
Sheet number |
If you are producing the report in Microsoft Excel file format, specify which worksheet number you want to be updated with the tabular report information.
Specifying a worksheet number may be useful if you want to update a single XLS file with information from more than one tabular report: you can specify the same XLS file but a different worksheet number for each report. |
CSV output file |
If you are producing the report in CSV file format, specify the path and file name of the CSV file that will be produced by the report.
Click Browse to browse for the path and file name of the CSV file that will be produced by the report. |
XML output file |
If you are producing the report in XML file format, specify the path and file name of the XML file that will be produced by the report.
Click Browse to browse for the path and file name of the XML file that will be produced by the report. |
Execute | Click this button to produce the tabular report. |

Select one or more of the check boxes in the Output report to selected formats group to specify the report format.

Use the fields in the Printer output options group to specify the way in which printed reports appear.
