Split Allocation dialog
You use the Split Allocation dialog to specify the way in which the selected allocation is split into two separate allocations. You can use this dialog to split allocations at a specified duration, at a specified amount of effort, work quantity or cost (depending on the type of allocation and the way in which it is modelled), at a specified percentage of the duration, or at a specific date and time.
When you split an allocation, the allocation is divided into two or more allocations on the same bar. You can edit each allocation individually. The resulting allocations retain the properties of the initial allocation. For example, any codes that were allocated to the initial allocation are allocated to the resulting allocations.

To access the Split Allocation dialog, right-click an allocation, select Split/Join from the popup menu that appears, then select Split.
