Select Scope and Location dialog
You use the Select Scope and Location dialog to specify which permanent resource allocations you want to publish to Microsoft Outlook® or via SMTP email.

To access the Select Scope and Location dialog, on the Allocation tab, in the Tools group, click the Publish dropdown and select Publish.
This dialog is not available in Asta Powerproject SaaS.

Field | Description |

All | Click this radio button to publish all of the resource allocations in the project. |
View | Click this radio button to publish only those resource allocations that are visible in the current view. |
Branch | Click this radio button to publish only those resource allocations in the current branch of the project. |
Selection | Click this radio button to publish only those resource allocations that are currently selected in the bar chart. |
Override default publish location | Select this check box to override the default method of publication, as defined in the Email and Publish Options dialog, and choose a different method. |
Publish tasks as appointments | Select this check box to publish the allocations as Outlook appointments, overriding the default publication method. |
Publish tasks as tasks | Select this check box to publish the allocations as Outlook tasks, overriding the default publication method. |
Publish tasks as email | Select this check box to publish the allocations by sending automatic emails to your permanent resources, overriding the default publication method. |
How do I...

- Specify the allocations to publish in the Select scope to publish group.
- By default, the specified resource allocations are published in the manner you have specified in the Email and Publish Options dialog. If you want to publish the allocations in a different manner, select the Override default publish location check box and use the check boxes at the bottom of the dialog to specify whether you want to publish them as Outlook appointments or tasks, or whether you want to publish them by sending automatic emails to your permanent resources. You can select more than one method of publication.
