Resource Report dialog - Fields tab
You use the Fields tab of the Resource Report dialog to specify the fields you want to include in your resource report. The fields that you can include in a report depend on the type of report you are producing: for example, if you are reporting on permanent resources, you can choose from a selection of fields that relate to permanent resources. The available fields are displayed in the left pane of the dialog.
You can also include custom fields in a resource report. You can configure custom fields to display virtually any information. Custom fields use the same syntax as Asta Powerproject's resource graph definitions, so you could use an existing resource graph definition as a custom field, or create new ones.

To access the Resource Report dialog, right-click a report in Library Explorer and select Properties.

Field/Button | Description |
---|---|
Fields to appear in report | Select the check box to the left of the fields that you want to include in the report and clear the check box to the left of the fields that you want to omit. |
Total values per slice | Click this radio button to display the total value in each time slice, ie the sum of the values within each time slice. |
Cumulative across slices | Click this radio button to display values accumulated over time in each time slice. |
Time unit for effort values | Select the time unit in which to display fields relating to effort, for example Elapsed hour or Day. |
Currency unit for cost/income values | Select the currency in which to display fields relating to cost and income. |
Baseline for variance fields | Variance fields compare values in the live data with those in a baseline. These enable you to see how far a project has varied from a baseline. If you include any variance fields in the report, select the baseline against which you want to compare values in the live data. |
Name | Enter the name of a custom field that you want to include in the report. |
Formula |
Enter the formula of the custom field that you want to include in the report.
Custom fields use the same syntax as Asta Powerproject's resource graph definitions, so you could use an existing resource graph definition as a custom field, or create new ones.
|
Add | Click this button to add a custom field whose name and formula you have entered into this dialog to the report. |
Execute | Click this button to produce the resource report. |
