Resource Report dialog - Chart tab

You use the Chart tab of the Resource Report dialog to specify the way in which graphical resource reports are displayed. You can select the type of graph you want to produce, enter a title and legends for the axes and specify the appearance of each item and field included in the report. Asta Powerproject can generate chart titles for you, or you can enter your own.

To access the Resource Report dialog, right-click a report in Library Explorer and select Properties.

Field/Button Description
Generate my chart titles for me Select this check box to create chart and axis titles automatically, or clear the check box to clear the fields and enter your own. If you generate titles automatically, you can edit them subsequently.
Chart title Enter a title to apply to the report.
X axis title Enter a title to apply to the x axis.
Y axis title Enter a title to apply to the y axis.
Chart style Specify the style of graph to produce. You can choose styles of Line, Area, Bar and Bar 3D.
Colour Select the main colour in which to display the graph.
Resource

You can specify a different colour for each resource or cost centre that you have chosen to include in the report. To do this, select each resource or cost centre in turn in this field and select a colour for each one.

 

You specify which resources and cost centres to include in the report using the Report Details tab.
Colour Select the colour in which to display the graph for the selected resource or cost centre.
Field

You can specify a different style for each field that you have chosen to include in the report. To do this, select each field in turn in this field and select a line or fill style and point style for each one.

 

You specify which fields to include in the report using the Fields tab.
Line style Select a line style for the selected field.
Point style Select a point style for the selected field.
Fill style Select a fill style for the selected field.
Execute Click this button to produce the resource report.

How do I...

  1. Select the Generate my chart titles for me check box to create chart and axis titles automatically, or clear the check box to clear the fields and enter your own.
  2. Enter a title for the report in the Chart title field.
  3. Enter titles for the x and y axes in the X axis Title and Y axis Title fields.
  4. Select the type of graph you want to produce in the Chart style field and select its main colour. You can choose styles of Line, Area, Bar and Bar 3D.
  5. You can specify a different colour for each resource or cost centre included in the graph. To do this, select each resource or cost centre in turn in the Resource field and select a colour for each one.
  6. You can specify a different style for each field included in the graph. To do this, select each field in turn in the Field field and select a line or fill style and point style for each one.
  7. Use the other tabs of the Resource Report dialog to further specify information you want to include in the report, then click Execute to produce the report.
