Properties dialog - Project tab
You use the Project tab of the Properties dialog to view and edit information relating to the current project. The Project tab only appears within projects that are within a group project.

To access the Properties dialog, click the File tab, click Properties, then click Advanced Properties.

Field | Description |

Project name | Enter a descriptive name for the project. |
Manager | Enter the name of the person managing the project. |
Start date | The start date of the first task in the project. |
Finish date | The finish date of the last task in the project. |
Duration | The period of time taken by the project. |
Duration unit | Select the time unit in which you want the duration to be displayed. |
Imposed start | The date at which the project is constrained to start. You might set an imposed start date if you do not want the project to start on the date shown as the Start date on this tab. You cannot impose both a start date and a finish date |
Imposed finish | The date at which the project is constrained to finish. You might set an imposed finish date if you do not want the project to finish on the date shown as the Finish date on this tab. You cannot impose both a start date and a finish date. |
Progress date | The average date up to which the project has been progressed. This is the date up to which progress is shaded on the expanded task of the project's programme chart - click the globe icon in the project view to see this expanded task. |
Report date | The report date of the progress period used most recently in the project. |
% complete | The total duration percent complete of the project. |
Cost | The total cost of the project. |
Income | The total income of the project. |
Effort | The total amount of scheduled effort in the project. The total amount of demand effort is shown in brackets. |
Work | The total amount of work undertaken by permanent resources in the project. |

Specify a date in either the Imposed start or Imposed finish field. You cannot impose both a start date and a finish date.
