Histogram Export dialog
You use the Histogram Export dialog to specify the name and location of the .XLS file to which you want to export information from the selected histogram row or histogram graph, and to specify the template with which to create the .XLS file.

To access the Histogram Export dialog, right-click an open histogram and select Export to Excel, or right-click a graph within a histogram and select Export <graph name> to Excel. Note that Microsoft Excel® must be installed on your computer in order for you to access this dialog.

Export file name | Enter the location and name of the .XLS file to which you want to export the histogram information. You can select a new file name, or an existing file, which will be overwritten. |
Browse | Click this button to browse for the location of the .XLS file to which you want to export histogram information. |
Select an export template | Select the Microsoft Excel template to use when creating the selected .XLS file. Note that any data that is contained within the selected template is disregarded. |
Look In | Click this button to search for templates if none are displayed in the dialog. |
How do I...

- Enter the name and location of the .XLS file to which you want to export the information in the Export file name field. You can enter the name of a new file, or an existing one. If you enter the name of an existing file, you are asked whether you want to overwrite the file or not. Alternatively, click Browse to search for the location of the file you want to create.
- Select a Microsoft Excel template with which to create the .XLS file in the Select an export template field. This field displays the Microsoft Excel templates that are located in the folder specified on the File Locations tab of the Options dialog.
- If no templates are displayed, or if the template you require is not displayed, click Look In and browse for the folder containing the template you want.
- Click OK to export the information from the histogram graph into Microsoft Excel.
