Show Prompts dialog

You use the Show Prompts dialog to specify the way in which to deal with warning and notification prompts within Asta Powerproject that give you the option not to be warned again. Examples of these prompts include:

  • The prompt that appears when you change an aspect of a view, asking you whether you would like to save the changes to the current view, abandon the changes, or save the changes as a new view.
  • The Reschedule Progress Period Warning dialog, which appears when you reschedule a project having specified to straighten the progress line to the report date of a specific progress period.

You can use this dialog to specify that if you ask not to be warned again when a prompt appears, this should apply permanently, or only to the current session. You can also use this dialog to restore all prompts that you have turned off in the past, so that all prompts are once more shown at the appropriate time.

To access the Show Prompts dialog, click the Do Not Show Me Again Prompts button on the General tab of the Options dialog.

Field/Button Description
When responding to "Do not show me again" Select Apply to current session to specify that if you ask not to be warned again when a prompt appears, this should apply only until you close Asta Powerproject, or select Apply permanently to specify that your choice should apply permanently and that the prompt should not appear again when you use Asta Powerproject in the future.
Reset Click this button to restore all prompts that you have turned off in the past, so that all prompts are once more shown at the appropriate time.

How do I...

In the When responding to "Do not show me again" field, select:

  • Apply to current session to specify that if you ask not to be warned again when a prompt appears, this should apply only until you close Asta Powerproject.
  • Apply permanently to specify that if you ask not to be warned again when a prompt appears, this should apply permanently and that the prompt should not appear again when you use Asta Powerproject in the future.

Click the Reset button to restore all prompts that you have turned off in the past, so that all prompts are once more shown at the appropriate time.
