Consumable Resource Properties dialog - Cost/Income tab
You use the Cost/Income tab of the Consumable Resource Properties dialog to maintain default details of the cost and income of the selected consumable resource. These defaults are applied to each allocation of the resource, and you can amend them for each individual allocation. Consumable resources can be associated with costs, income, or both.
How to access the Consumable Resource Properties dialog
To access the Consumable Resource Properties dialog, right-click a consumable resource in Library Explorer or the project view and select Properties.
Explanation of the fields on the dialog
| Field | Description |

| Cost per use |
Enter any cost that is incurred when the resource is assigned to the task. For example, there may be a delivery charge which is the same whether you are delivering 100 or 1000 units.
If you want to represent a negative cost, you can enter a negative value in this field.

| Income per use |
Enter any income that is generated when the resource is assigned to the task.
If you want to represent a negative income, you can enter a negative value in this field. |
| Cost per unit |
Enter the cost that is incurred by each unit of the consumable resource.
If you want to represent a negative cost, you can enter a negative value in this field. |
| Income per unit |
Enter the income that is generated by each unit of the consumable resource.
If you want to represent a negative income, you can enter a negative value in this field. |
| Expenditure cost centre | Select the cost centre from which the cost of assignments of the resource are deducted. Click Properties to view and edit the details of the cost centre. |
| Income cost centre | Select the cost centre in which the income from assignments of the resource is stored. Click Properties to view and edit the details of the cost centre. |

... specify the default cost and income details for allocations of the selected consumable resource?
- Enter the cost and/or income per use in the Per use group.
- Enter the cost and/or income per unit in the Per unit group.
... specify the cost centres used by allocations of the resource?
Select the appropriate expenditure and income cost centres in the Cost centre group.
