You use the Nonlinear Allocation tab of the
Consumable Allocation Properties dialog to

To access the Consumable Allocation Properties dialog, right-click a consumable resource allocation and select Properties.

Click this radio button to specify that the quantity values for the allocation are not constant throughout the duration of the allocation, but are calculated using a resource curve.

Display period |
Specify whether the grid on this tab should display quantity values for each week, day, half day or hour throughout the duration of the allocation.
For linear allocations, the figures in the Quantity column will be the same for each row; for allocations that use a resource curve, these figures will differ according to the way in which the resource curve has been configured. |
Detail grid - Period | The start date and time of each week, day, half day or hour throughout the duration of the allocation. |
Detail grid - Quantity | The quantity (in the appropriate unit) for each period throughout the duration of the allocation. |
How do I...

Click the Linear radio button. The figures in the Quantity column in the grid on this tab display the same value for each row.

- Click the Resource curve radio button.
- Select the resource curve to apply to the allocation in the field to the right of the radio button. The figures in the Quantity column in the grid on this tab differ according to the way in which the resource curve has been configured.
Select a different time period in the Display period field to display values for a different time period as required.
This tab may not currently be displayed on the dialog. If it is not currently visible, click More >> to display it. If you do not want this tab to appear, you can hide it from view along with a number of other tabs by clicking Less <<.
