Code Library Entry Properties dialog
You use the Code Library Entry Properties dialog to maintain the details of the selected code library entry. You can change the name and appearance of the code library entry and specify the order in which items to which the code has been assigned appear when you sort/group by code library.
If you use Asta Site Progress to record progress against tasks and build stages in Asta Powerproject projects using a mobile device and you export information on whichever tasks the user's entry in a particular code library is assigned to, you use this tab to select the Asta Site Progress user to which each code library entry relates.

To access the Code Library Entry Properties dialog, right-click a code library entry in Library Explorer or the project view and select Properties.

Field | Description |
---|---|
Name | Enter a descriptive name to apply to the code library entry. |
Short name | Enter a shorter name to apply to the code library entry. For example, for a code library entry with a name of Roof Level, you could give it a short name of Roof. |
Sort order |
Enter a number that defines the order in which the codes within the current library are to be sorted/grouped. Codes with a lower number appear earlier in a sorted/grouped view than codes with a higher number.
For code library sorts/groups to work correctly, you must enter appropriate numbers into this field for every entry in a code library. For example, if you wanted to sort/group the codes in a 'Location' code library in the following order - Paris, London, New York - you could enter 10 against Paris, 20 against London and 30 against New York.
Note that codes are only sorted/grouped according to the numbers that you enter into this field if you click the Sort/group entries by - Sort order radio button on the View tab of the Options dialog. If you do not click this radio button, codes appear alphabetically in sorted/grouped views.
You can also use the numbers that you have entered into this field to determine the order in which code library entries appear in the legend in printouts. To order the entries in the legend according to their sort order, select the Use code library sort order in legend check box on the Legends section of the tree in the Appearance tab of the Print dialog.

Site Progress user |
If you use Asta Site Progress to record progress against tasks and build stages in Asta Powerproject projects using a mobile device, there are a number of ways of determining which information is exported for each Asta Site Progress user.
If you export information on whichever tasks the user's entry in this code library is assigned to, select the Asta Site Progress user to which the code library entry relates in this field. This field is available only if you are currently logged into Asta Site Progress configuration.
You only need to specify a Asta Site Progress user against codes in the code library that you use to determine which information is exported for each Asta Site Progress user - ie the code library that is selected in the Site Progress library field, on the Properties tab of the Backstage view. |
