Calendar Properties dialog - Details tab
You use the Details tab of the Calendar Properties dialog to maintain the details of the selected calendar. You can change the name of the calendar, specify the way in which days on the Calendar tab are numbered, specify whether days prior to today's date are editable, specify the way in which the days should appear and specify the calendar's dominant work pattern.

To access the Calendar Properties dialog, right-click a calendar in Library Explorer or the project view and select Properties.

Field | Description |

Name | Enter a descriptive name to apply to the calendar. |
Number cells by date | Click this radio button to display the date on each day cell on the Calendar tab. |
Number cells by week number | Click this radio button to display the number of the week on the first day of each week on the Calendar tab. |
No cell numbering | Click this radio button to display the day cells on the Calendar tab without any numbering. |
Week 1 contains first Thursday in January | If you choose to number the day cells by week number, use this check box to specify the way in which you want to number weeks: select the check box to number weeks according to the international standard date and time notation, as specified in international standard ISO 8601, whereby week 1 is the week containing the first Thursday in January, or clear the check box to number weeks according to |
Show past dates | Select this check box to enable editing of dates prior to today's date on the Calendar tab, or clear the check box to disable editing. |
Colour display threshold | Enter the amount of working time at which a day should display the working time colour at its full intensity on the Calendar tab. |
No working time colour | Select the colour in which to display days that have no working time on the Calendar tab. |
Working time colour | Select the colour in which to display days that have working time at or above the selected colour display threshold on the Calendar tab. |
Dominant work pattern |
Select the work pattern that best describes the working and non-working time on the calendar. Each work pattern can have working time units of a different duration. For example, one work pattern may have a 7 hour day while another has a 7.5 hour day.
If a calendar has a single work pattern assigned to it, this is automatically the dominant work pattern. |
How do I...

Enter a name in the Name field.

Select one of the following radio buttons:
- Number cells by date - to display the date on each day cell.
- Number cells by week number - to display the number of the week on the first day of each week.
- No cell numbering - to display the day cells without any numbering.
If you choose to number the cells by week number, use the Week 1 contains first Thursday in January check box to specify the way in which you want to number weeks.

Select the Show past dates check box to enable editing of dates prior to today's date, or clear the check box to disable editing.

- Enter the amount of working time at which a day should display the working time colour at its full intensity in the Colour display threshold field.
- Select the colour in which to display days that have no working time in the No working time colour field.
- Select the colour in which to display days that have working time at or above the selected colour display threshold in the Working time colour field.

Select the work pattern that best describes the working and non-working time on the calendar in the Dominant work pattern field.
The Calendar Properties dialog may or may not display two tabs that contain advanced calendar functionality: Work Pattern Assignments and Exception Assignments. If these two tabs are not currently displayed, you can click More >> to display them. If they are currently displayed, you can click Less << to hide them from view.
