Bar and Task Properties dialog - Relations tab
You use the Relations tab of the
Bar and Task Properties dialog to view details of the parent tasks of the selected bar or task, and any tasks on the same bar as the selected task (siblings).

To access the Bar and Task Properties dialog, right-click a bar or task in the bar chart and select Properties.

Field/Button | Description |
---|---|
Name | The name of the parent or sibling task. |
Type | The type of task, for example Expanded Task, Task or Milestone. |
Relationship | The relationship of the task to the selected task, for example Parent task, Parent bar or Sibling. |
Back | Click this button to move backwards, one task at a time, through the bars and tasks in the order in which you have selected them on this tab. This button is only enabled once you have double-clicked a bar or task in the grid. When you change the selected task using this button, the other tabs in the dialog refresh to display information about the task now selected. |
Forward | Click this button to move forwards, one task at a time, through the bars and tasks in the order in which you have selected them on this tab. This button is only enabled once you have double-clicked a bar or task in the grid. When you change the selected task using this button, the other tabs in the dialog refresh to display information about the task now selected. |
The Relations tab may not currently be displayed on the Bar and Task Properties dialog. If it is not currently visible, click More >> to display it. If you do not want this tab to appear, you can hide it from view along with the Allocations and Links tabs by clicking Less <<.
How do I...

- Double-click a bar or task in the grid to select it in the bar chart.
- Click Back or Forward. When you change the selected task using these buttons, the other tabs in the dialog refresh to display information about the task now selected.

Click Variance to display the Task Variance Properties dialog.
