Bar and Task Properties dialog - Allocations tab
You use the Allocations tab of the Bar and Task Properties dialog to view and maintain the properties of any resource and cost allocations on the selected task. The allocations are listed in a grid.

To access the Bar and Task Properties dialog, right-click a bar or task in the bar chart and select Properties.

Field | Description |
---|---|
Allocatable name | The name of the resource or cost centre that has been allocated. |
Type | Whether the allocation is of a permanent resource, a consumable resource or a cost centre. |
Allocation type | For permanent and consumable resource allocations, whether the allocation is a demand or a scheduled allocation; for cost allocations, whether the allocation relates to cost or income. |
Allocation | For permanent and consumable resource allocations, the number of the resource that has been allocated. |
Devolves/Satisfies | For permanent and consumable resource allocations, the demand allocation that is satisfied or devolved to the allocation. |
Modelling type | For permanent and consumable resource allocations, the type of modelling applied to the allocation; for cost centre allocations, the way in which the allocation is calculated - either as a fixed amount, or based on time or task work. |
Calculated parameter | For permanent and consumable resource allocations, the parameter that is calculated automatically as part of resource modelling. |
Balancing parameter | For permanent and consumable resource allocations, the parameter that is adjusted automatically when you resize the allocation by dragging in the bar chart. |
The Allocations tab may not currently be displayed on the Bar and Task Properties dialog. If it is not currently visible, click More >> to display it. If you do not want this tab to appear, you can hide it from view along with the Links and Relations tabs by clicking Less <<.
How do I...

Double-click an allocation in the grid to view a dialog in which you can view and edit its details.

Click Variance to display the Task Variance Properties dialog.
