Code fields

For each field listed below, the following information is given:

  • Description - the information displayed by the field when added to the spreadsheet or to a text annotation.
  • Parameters - any additional, optional parameters that you can use to modify the information that the field displays or the way in which the information is displayed.
  • Editable? - whether the field is editable when displayed in a spreadsheet column. If a field is editable in the spreadsheet, you can change the data displayed in the column to edit the properties of the corresponding bar, task or allocation.

Bar.<code library name>

Description

The code that has been assigned from the selected code library to a bar.

Parameters
  • Data - whether you want to display information relating to the live data or to a specific baseline.
  • Show field - leave blank to display the name of the code library entry, or enter the name of a user-defined field that has been created for use with code library entries to display its contents, enter Short Name to display the short name of the code library entry, enter Alt ID to display the alternative ID of the code library entry, or enter Last Edited Date to display the date on which the code library entry was last edited.
  • Show path - whether you want to display the path of the selected code library field (ie the position of the code within the code library hierarchy).
  • Path separator - if displaying the path of the code library field, a character with which to separate the various levels of the hierarchy, for example a comma or a dash.

<code library name>

Description

The code that has been assigned from the selected code library to a bar or task, depending on whether the bar is in one-task-per-line mode.

Parameters
  • Data - whether you want to display information relating to the live data or to a specific baseline.
  • Specific task - specify specific task(s) on a multi-task bar to which you want the field to refer if required.
  • Show field - leave blank to display the name of the code library entry, or enter the name of a user-defined field that has been created for use with code library entries to display its contents, enter Short Name to display the short name of the code library entry, enter Alt ID to display the alternative ID of the code library entry, or enter Last Edited Date to display the date on which the code library entry was last edited.
