Setting up lines in the date zone

The grid control on the General tab of the Date Zone Properties dialog lists the lines in the date zone. By default the first four lines are used but the remainder are unused.

Click the Type, Time Unit and Quantity fields in the grid control to specify what each line in the date zone displays. For example, select Custom, Elapsed Weeks and 2 to set up a date zone line marking each fortnight.

Depending on your selection in the Type field, you may be able to specify a time period in the Time Unit field. For example, if you choose Working Units in the Type field, use the Time Unit field to choose whether you want the line to mark working weeks, working days and so on. Use the Quantity field to specify the number of time units that you want to be marked by each tick on the date zone line. For example, enter 3 to place a tick line every third unit.

When setting up a custom date zone line, select the time unit and quantity at which you want tick marks to be drawn. For example, you could set up custom date zone lines to mark every half day of the project.

To change the colours used in the date zone, specify the colour of the background, the colour of text and the colour of tick lines by selecting from the colour dropdowns. You can also change the font in which the text is displayed by clicking Font.
