Choosing the columns to display in the assignment grid
To choose which columns are displayed in the assignment grid:
- Right-click a blank area of the assignment grid or right-click an allocation, then select Show Fields. The Assignment View dialog appears. The fields or columns currently displayed are listed on the right.
- To remove a column from the assignment grid, select that field from the right-hand list then click Remove, or double-click the selected field. That field is moved into the left-hand list.
- Another way to remove a column is to right-click the column heading directly in the assignment grid, then select Remove This Column.
- To add a column to the assignment grid, select that field from the left-hand list then click Add, or double-click the selected field. That field is moved into the right-hand list. If a field is selected in the right-hand list when you click Add, the new field is inserted above the selected field.
- To rearrange the order of columns in the assignment grid, select the appropriate column(s) in the right-hand list then use the Up or Down buttons.
- Click OK to close the dialog and confirm your changes to the assignment grid.
You can also rearrange the columns in the assignment grid by dragging a column heading and dropping it onto another column. You cannot move the Name column.
The column settings in the assignment grid are saved per user so each user in a project can set up their assignment view differently.
