Choosing the columns to display in the assignment grid

To choose which columns are displayed in the assignment grid:

  1. Right-click a blank area of the assignment grid or right-click an allocation, then select Show Fields. The Assignment View dialog appears. The fields or columns currently displayed are listed on the right.
  2. To remove a column from the assignment grid, select that field from the right-hand list then click Remove, or double-click the selected field. That field is moved into the left-hand list.
  3. Another way to remove a column is to right-click the column heading directly in the assignment grid, then select Remove This Column.
  4. To add a column to the assignment grid, select that field from the left-hand list then click Add, or double-click the selected field. That field is moved into the right-hand list. If a field is selected in the right-hand list when you click Add, the new field is inserted above the selected field.
  5. To rearrange the order of columns in the assignment grid, select the appropriate column(s) in the right-hand list then use the Up or Down buttons.
  6. Click OK to close the dialog and confirm your changes to the assignment grid.

You can also rearrange the columns in the assignment grid by dragging a column heading and dropping it onto another column. You cannot move the Name column.

The column settings in the assignment grid are saved per user so each user in a project can set up their assignment view differently.
