Permanent resources

Permanent resources are typically the people or equipment needed to carry out tasks. For example, a task to dig a foundation needs a digger and a driver. When a permanent resource has completed work on one task, it is available to work on another: permanent resources are not 'used up' by tasks.

Once you have created a permanent resource you can assign it to tasks. You can combine permanent and consumable resource allocations into an allocation group, then assign the whole group to a task in one operation.

You can edit the properties of a permanent resource by editing options on the Permanent Resource Properties dialog. To access help for each tab of the Permanent Resource Properties dialog, press F1 while viewing the tab.
