Cost centres
A cost centre is like a fund. Tasks can provide income to a cost centre, or can require expenditure from a cost centre. You can have more than one cost centre in a project. For example, you might have one cost centre for a project's research and development activities, and another cost centre for its marketing activities.
You can create a hierarchy of cost centres. For example, you might have one overall company cost centre with subordinate cost centres for individual departments and teams.
You can edit the properties of a cost centre by editing options on the Cost Centre Properties dialog. To access help for each tab of the Cost Centre Properties dialog, press F1 while viewing the tab.
