Copying exceptions
You can copy exceptions, such as overtime and holidays, from one calendar to another. This is useful as it enables you to define exceptions in one calendar and copy them across to other calendars, rather than having to set up exceptions in each calendar individually. You can also copy calendar exceptions to the Windows® Clipboard, then paste details of the copied exceptions into another application, for example Windows Notepad or Microsoft Excel®.
When copying exceptions from one calendar to another, you can choose to copy individual exceptions, exceptions from selected date(s), or all of the exceptions in a calendar. You can also choose which types of exception you want to copy.

- Right-click the calendar from which you want to copy an exception in Library Explorer or the project view and select Properties. The Calendar Properties dialog appears.
- If the Exception Assignments tab is not currently visible on the Calendar Properties dialog, click More >> to display it.
- Click the Exception Assignments tab. This tab contains a grid listing all the exceptions assigned to the selected calendar.

- Select the Warn me about conflicting exception assignments check box if you want to be warned if one of the exceptions you are copying overlaps with one or more existing exceptions in the selected calendar(s), or clear the check box to copy the exceptions to the other calendars without any such warnings.
If you choose to be warned of any exception conflicts, the Overlapping Exceptions dialog will appear if any conflicts arise, prompting you to specify whether the exception you are copying should replace (or partially replace) the existing exception, or whether the exception should not be copied. If you choose to copy exceptions without being warned of conflicts, the exception(s) you are copying will automatically replace (or partially replace) any existing exceptions with which they conflict. - Click Copy exceptions to copy the selected exception(s) to the selected calendar(s).
