Synchronising tasks
In some circumstances you might want to force two tasks to always start or always finish at the same time, even when link logic might allow one task to start earlier than the other.
To synchronise the start date of two tasks, draw a link from the start of one task to the start of the other task, then draw a link from the start of the second task back to the start of the first task, so that the two links are on top of each other:
If anything delays the start date of either of these tasks, the start of the other task is delayed so that they remain synchronised.
You can also synchronise one task's finish to another task's start, and you can set lead/lag on these links to synchronise, for example, the middle of one task with the start of another.
