Moving a licence from one computer to another

Depending on the type of licence you have, you may be able to move an Asta Powerproject licence from one computer to another. This is useful when you want to stop using Asta Powerproject on one computer and start using it on another, for example when you upgrade to a new computer.

You do not need to activate Asta Powerproject SaaS. All of the dialogs, tabs and wizards relating to activation and licences are unavailable in Asta Powerproject SaaS.

To move a licence from one computer to another:

If you have an Internet connection available, ensure that the connection to the Internet is currently active.
On the computer from which you want to move the licence, click the File tab, click Activation, then click Move Licence.
A dialog appears, displaying the serial number and product key that have been used to activate Asta Powerproject on this computer. Copy and paste the serial number and product key into Windows Notepad.
Click OK. The dialog disappears, and Asta Powerproject is now deactivated on this computer.
Launch Asta Powerproject on the computer to which you want to move the licence.
On that computer, click the File tab, click Activation, then click Activate. The Product Activation dialog appears.
Copy and paste the serial number and product key that you copied from the other computer into the fields on the dialog, then click OK. Asta Powerproject is now activated on this computer.
