Business Intelligence export tools, and the elements of a reporting solution

To export Business Intelligence data to an external database, you must download and install the following applications:

The Business Intelligence Controller - used to configure and trigger the export of data to an external database.
The Business Intelligence Model Compiler - used to compile Business Intelligence export models for the export of data to an external database.
Either Powerproject, or the Developers' Toolkit - used to enable the Business Intelligence Controller to access your projects and/or data sources.

You can download the Business Intelligence Controller and Business Intelligence Model Compiler from the Elecosoft Knowledge Base; alternatively, contact Elecosoft's Technical Support department for a download link. Note that there are 32 bit and 64 bit versions of these applications and that version you use must match your version of Powerproject. Download and install the version that matches your version of Powerproject.

You need to have one of the following databases installed:

Microsoft SQLServer®.
Oracle®.
SQLite®.

You also need a reporting tool of your choice, to report on the exported data.

To export data to Microsoft Excel®, all you need to have installed are Powerproject and Microsoft Excel.
